Schools, Hospitals, and a Factory
Visiting Van Buren Elementary and Plainfield High School's French classes. Discussions began for a possible Plainfield High School French class trip to Congo. We had planned for a visit to some private and public schools in Indianapolis as well, but an unexpected trip to the emergency room and required overnight stay resulted in an improptu tour of Methodist and Riley Hospital instead. It also meant that we needed to relocate the group from Camp Moneto to my parents' and their neighbor's houses in Plainfield. (Three cheers to Mom for stepping in to become the caravan's cook!) |

| Rev. Kasongo received excellent care at Methodist Hospital--and the hospital chaplains made double sure of it. (Thanks to the chaplains and Methodist's team of translators, Stephanie and I were able to get a good night's sleep.) | Greeting Riley in the lobby of Riley Children's Hospital. |
Taking the people-mover to get a scenic tour of Indianapolis while visiting the connected hospitals. |
Dental visits (and eye exams w/ new glasses) thanks to generous United Methodist doctors made the to-do list. |

We also got to tour Cummins' engine factory in Columbus, IN thanks to our U. Methodist friends there. (no photos allowed inside the factory) |
